I have written and managed grants for a variety of organizations including educational institutions, research, local governments as well as nonprofits and for-profit businesses ranging from $5,000 to $10 million.

J. Brandon Philips, Ph.D., MPA, is a Grant Writing Consultant for Limelight Consulting Services.

He is an Assistant Professor of Public Administration and Public Policy. Dr. Philips has 15 years of experience in the non-profit and public sector, in roles ranging from criminal justice, court advocacy, homelessness, health disparities, grant writing, and organizational consulting. In addition to his grant work, Dr. Philips’s research interests include creating social innovation in the service delivery of nonprofits, health disparities facing marginalized communities, the role of nonprofits in advocacy, social change, and protecting minority voting and constitutional rights. His academic research focuses on social issues facing the Latino/a/e and other marginalized communities. He is very passionate about working with nonprofit and community organizations to help them grow, innovate, and finding funding for large- and small-scale projects that foster change in communities.
